The character assumed by Danica Rose grew up in the suburbs of New York City, dreaming every night of moving out of the shadows and onto the main stage. Days slowly passed while she paged through ballet magazines with glowing eyes as she held her dreams in print. And she rested her head on her pillow every night imagining her life unfolding better than those magazines. When the days came that she pursued her goals, ballerina life initially seemed glamorous yet delicate, and the tremors of butterflies of the early days kept the shock of excitement flowing freely.
But the pressure soon became too pressing. Life on the stage did not manifest in all of the ways that her dreams had conveyed. Late nights at rehearsal and excruciatingly demanding physical regimes pushed Miss Rose over the edge, and beyond any chance of success. Drinking became heavy, and drug use heavier. Mornings began with Gin, and nights ended but without cognitive memory.
Soon enough, Danica's demise got the best of her dreams, and another prospective ballerina took to the streets as a junkie. At 15 years old, the ballerina formerly known as Danica Rose may be found on street corners answering to the name Chastity. Her once porcelain skin has erupted with scabs and scars from serious use of methamphetamine. And her dreams of yesterday are long gone..so long...farewell. Au revoir Danica Rose...
