My two favorite qutations from this article are that graffiti is referred to as an "urban phenomenon," and that, "spray paint was central to the conversation about New York’s very identity." The context of this panel discussion is slightly vague, but the point to which I am interested if the very fact that such an emphasis was put on the choice of words: vandalism, graffiti artists, illegal, street art, anti-vandalism police.
